Daystar — A Boutique Café & Retail Interior
A warm, community-centered café and retail interior where reclaimed wood textures, Edison-style pendant lighting, and a considered mix of rustic and modern materials create a space that feels both inviting and unmistakably designed.

Commercial Interior Design
The Daystar commission began with a client who wanted something rare in commercial design: a space that felt genuinely lived-in from day one. The brief called for warmth, character, and a design that would make every visitor feel like a regular — before they'd ever walked through the door. The result is anchored by a custom pendant lighting installation — a dramatic multi-arm chandelier of glass lantern pendants that defines the dining area and sets the tone for the entire space. Below it, long communal tables in raw wood and industrial metal chairs create a gathering environment that is casual without being careless. Every material was chosen to age beautifully: reclaimed wood wall cladding at the service counter, stacked-stone base detailing, and wide-plank flooring in a warm mixed-wood finish that ties the café and retail zones together.
The retail section carries the same considered sensibility. A navy shiplap feature wall anchors a curated display of books, wellness products, and apparel, while a lit star installation becomes the room's signature moment — a piece of visual identity that photographs as well as it performs in person. The lounge seating area — leather club chairs, an organic-edge wood coffee table, a weathered stump side table — offers a counterpoint to the bustle of the café: a place to slow down, stay longer, and feel at home. Daystar is proof that a commercial space can carry the warmth of a well-designed home — when every material, every fixture, and every detail is chosen with the people who will use it in mind.

MOD Interiors
Where Community Feels by Design.
The best hospitality spaces make people feel welcome before a word is spoken. The lighting, the materials, the furniture — every decision here was made with the visitor in mind. Reclaimed wood, Edison pendants, leather club chairs: each element chosen to say stay a while.
That is the MOD approach to boutique commercial design: warmth is not an accident, it is a decision. The result is a space that feels like it has always been there — because every detail was designed to last.
